Don’t be a boss in your practice. Be a coach.
You can’t expect your team to think the way you think. You have to lead them into it.
Start by leading yourself first—get clear about what you want. Then coach your team on the habits you want them to have. It’s as simple as thinking out loud. The more you let them know what you think, the more they learn to adapt your ways.
Remember, when you coach, you lift people up so they can lift others too.
